About Us
At Big Horn Mountain Farms, pasture-raised means our animals are raised with access to outdoor space, natural movement, and seasonal care suited to Wyoming ranch life.
Wyoming weather changes dramatically throughout the year, so responsible animal care includes adapting to the season. Pasture, feed, shelter, water, and handling all matter. Our goal is to support healthy animals, responsible land use, and meat that customers can feel confident serving.
We do not use “pasture-raised” as a vague label. For us, it is part of a larger commitment to transparency, animal care, and ranch-direct food.
We focus on pasture-raised Wagyu-Angus beef with an eating experience that is rich, balanced, and approachable. Bulk buyers have the option for 100% grass-fed. Individual cuts are non-GMO grain-finished.
Wagyu-Angus Beef
Big Horn Mountain Farms offers Wagyu-Angus beef, combining the eating quality associated with Wagyu genetics and the classic beef character of Angus cattle.
For customers, that means beef selected for flavor, tenderness, and a satisfying cooking experience. Wagyu-Angus beef is especially well-suited for customers who want elevated steaks, richly flavored ground beef, hearty roasts, and a freezer selection that feels more intentional than ordinary grocery-store meat.
Our beef is raised in Wyoming and sold ranch-direct through bulk reservations, online ordering, and the Honor Store.
Heritage Pork
Big Horn Mountain Farms offers heritage pork from Mangalitsa and Old Spot genetics. Heritage pork is valued by many home cooks and chefs for its character, richness, and versatility.
This pork is well-suited for slow cooking, roasting, smoking, braising, sausage, bacon, chops, and nose-to-tail cooking. The result is pork that feels substantial, flavorful, and useful across a wide range of meals.
For customers who want more than basic grocery-store pork, heritage pork offers a more distinctive eating experience and a stronger connection to how the animal was raised and used.
